Tom Springsteel, 46, of Glenwood Springs, CO, passed away December 11, 2018 at home. He was born June 26, 1972, in Glenwood Springs to Gene and Rose (Edmonds) Springsteel. Tom grew up in Glenwood and graduated from Glenwood Springs High School in 1991 with honors from the vocational school. Tom was an amazing and talented mechanic, who was always willing to work on a friend’s car. His many hobbies included hunting, fishing, auto restoration and 4-wheeling. Tom married Karen Ramsey on August 4, 2007, in Glenwood Springs. Tom is survived by his wife, Karen Springsteel. His stepchildren: Sarah (Jason) Friedman, Rachel Vasquez, and Kidd (Mariah) Vasquez. His mother, Rose Hart, and his sister, Kristy (David) Snaith. Tom had 5 grandkids who brought him a great deal of joy as well as his two nephews. There are many aunts, uncles, grandparents and friends who Tom loved. Tom was preceded in death by his father, Gene Springsteel and by his stepdad Darran Hart.
